Description The built environment or activity container as an architectural object is not only limited to the outer space and/or the spaces between the mass of the building, but also the space inside the building, which is often also referred to as the interior. The space inside a building is not a separate entity from the outside space, but instead must be integrated so that they support each other in accommodating human activities. In some respects, the principles of planning and designing indoor spaces are similar to the principles of planning and designing outdoor spaces, but apart from that there are also differences. Comfort factors, both thermal and visual, are highly emphasized in planning and designing interior spaces, especially since humans generally carry out most of their daily activities inside buildings, so interior comfort is an important factor in accommodating and improving the quality of these human activities. This course teaches the principles and applications of interior space planning and design, by integrating sustainability aspects such as environmental friendliness, energy saving, so that students are not only able to design interior spaces that have thermal and visual comfort, but also maintain and increase the carrying capacity of the surrounding environment. .
